Come on - we all have a character (other than Firestar, of course) that we despise to the pit of our hearts. Don't be shy; who is it?
I CAN'T STAND HOLLYLEAF. I am very glad that she was killed off, to be honest. Why, you ask?
- She should have been sure that she wanted to be a Medicine Cat Apprentice before taking on the task. Didn't she know that an Elder with a bloody, oozy thorn stuck in its paw would come up sooner or later?
- It's all about The Warrior Code! Come on; a Warrior can't live its entire life without breaking a rule unless they live in the nursery until their death. Well, perhaps they could, even that way.
- She revealed Squirrelflight and Leafpool's secret to the entire forest at the Gathering. What right gave her permission to do that? Her mother gave them up to keep them alive.
Feel free to make your own lists as to why you hate the characters that you do. x3

See, I don't really tend to hate characters unless they're just lame. For example, I usually love bad guys because they're intricate and interesting, and I usually love good guys (except Firestar) because they're also intricate and interesting. The only characters I don't like, usually, are poorly done ones.
That being said, I bet I could find cats I hate in the newer series, but I haven't read past halfway through the Power of Three series. I disliked Brambleclaw for awhile, but he redeemed himself more or less. Same goes for Dustpelt, who started off a jerk but ended up incredible in the first series. Let's see....I guess I really disliked Mothwing or whatever her name was. The fake RiverClan medicine cat? She was just kind of a wuss, from what I remember, letting Hawkfrost order her around and all that.

I agree with you about Dustpelt. I hated him because he and Sandpaw were such jerks! He's matured into a fine warrior, though.
I liked Brambleclaw, and I couldn't help but feel bad for him. He carried Tigerstar's reputation, which was expected, but he was good. While we're on that subject, I thought that Tigerstar was a well-designed cat. Abandoning ThunderClan for the sole purpose of leading ShadowClan was totally evil and it really showed the kind of twisted mind that he has. And then, training Lionblaze when he knew that they weren't related was simply menacing.

Going off the older series (I didn't get much into the newer one) I really thought Tigerstar was fantastic.
First off, I always say this: when he and Firestar were alone in...maybe "A Dangerous Path" or "The Darkest Hour", and Tigerstar could have easily just decided to kill Firestar, he instead told him to take care of Bramblekit and Tawnykit. I thought that was intriguing.
Also, it was very interesting how he pretty much destroyed himself. He didn't turn out to be the worst cat out there--he was just a fool ^.^
I'm not going to lie, Sandstorm annoyed me a lot during Frestar's Quest. At least, towards the beginning when she was being a baby about Firestar's fling with Spottedleaf. But other than that, I liked her a lot.

I can't say that I absolutely hated any of the characters so far, in all honesty. Sure, some of them really ticked me off, and irritated me, but I haven't despised any of them. I have to admit that I haven't read the series in a while, though, so I can't exactly remember my opinions on them.
I actually really liked Tigerstar. He was so clever, and he was just...interesting. Mothwing, that medicine cat, kind of irritated me. Leafpool annoyed me a bit at places. I can't honestly say that I hate Firestar because I'm determined to cling to the Firestar of series one, not of the crappy later series. From the third series on, I honestly just thought the whole thing was awful and will not elaborate on them.
Sandstorm did tick me off a little in Firestar's Quest. To me, it seemed like she was blowing the whole Firestar/Spottedleaf thing waaay out of proportion. The chick died before Firestar even became a warrior, for crying out loud! Unless there was more that the book wasn't telling us, the two spoke, like, hardly never, and that relationshup never got off the ground.

Hear, hear, Kitty!
Gosh, I did dislike Mothwing. Bleck. I really disliked Cloudpelt for awhile (that was his name, right?) but I got over that. Squirrelflight was a bit annoying, too.
